TASTY TUESDAY #4 A Drumstick of Desire

It’s been an odd start to the week because of the Kenya trip by our own Executive Director, Eddo. (Eddo, if you’re reading this from the worldwide wi-fi that only an iphone can pick up, HELLO. I hope you and all of the students are having a blessed time.)

Shawn and John found themselves with a promotion, finally in the desirable position of choosing what to do on Tasty Tuesday. With the commander-in-chief safely tucked away into the continent of Africa, the supply’s freshly minted-food authorities were given ample room to be creative. They did not disappoint. 

Going on the hunch of a BonChon chicken lunch special, Shawn and John were whisked away to North Vale, where they waited patiently, stalking out those honey-glazed drumsticks and golden-brown fries. 

They returned an hour and 10 min. later, exhausted and mortified by the stress of such tense stalking. They were beaten, but hungry. Sooo hungry. 

They opened their box. An aroma filled the room. Grinning from ear-to-ear, Shawn John knew in their hearts they had made the right choice today. 

And somewhere in Africa, in the midst of painting a school and going on a slide with the kids, Eddo smiled, acknowledging that he left the office in good hands and hungry stomachs.
