Field Trip Friday #4: THE SUN

THAT’S RIGHT.

It is currently 102 degrees Fahrenheit, and every time we step out the door of our office building, it feels like we’re on THE SUN. I am personally dreading the initial five minutes of my drive back home on my sun-soaked, leather black seats. I wonder what a cooked Supply intern smells like. I guess I’ll find out…

Note: Josh told me that the last thing I should ever talk about (if I want to be interesting) is the weather. heheh.. OH WELL.

What’s getting to us on this side of the world is the HEAT—the glaring, incandescent, smoldering, unavoidable rays (RAWRRRR) of sunlight. But just imagine, thousands of miles and people and buildings and sounds and smells and interactions away, Eddo’s hanging out with Muscort and his students under the very same sun. But they’re soaking it up—the vitamin D, the warmth, the closeness of the air, the LIGHT.

Just like the pencils (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0T9hvmQ1AM), we take things that we see so often for granted. In Lenana, students can’t do their homework in the evening because they don’t have electricity, let alone light bulbs.

So take your own little field trip outside, and greet the sun. It’s been there all along. Take in its light…and BE A LIGHT.

WE ARE ALL THE SUPPLY.

Have deLIGHTful weekend! =))
